County Community Relations Committee Visits Shugs Restaurant To Enjoy
Some Of Berkeley County’s Most Delectable Cuisine!
(RIDGEVILLE,
SC) One of Berkeley’s
best kept secrets, Shugs Restaurant, offers a delightful array of some
of the most scrumptious cuisine in the county! Recently, members of the
newly created Berkeley County Community Relations Council (BCCRC)
dropped in for a bite. Each month, members of the BCCRC collectively
gather to dine at a Berkeley County restaurant to show their support.
According to Shugs
owner and chef, Noah Coleman, the
restaurants name was inspired by the character of Shug Avery from the
movie, The Color Purple. Shugs offers cuisine to
satisfy even
the pickiest of palates. Signature dishes include: Seafood Platter
(fish, oysters, shrimp, Crab Ball with hush puppies, etc.), and pasta
specialties (alfredos with chicken and shrimp, ravioli with mixed
vegetables and shrimp or chicken, etc.). Shugs offers a variety of
American Style cuisine including steaks, chicken, hamburgers,
sandwiches and soups. Scrumptious deserts include homemade banana
pudding, cakes, pies, cobblers.
“We try to create an
atmosphere where the food is
great and people can come in and enjoy themselves,” says
Coleman, “I
invite people to come on out and give us a try to see what we do. We
are very creative with our cuisine.”
Happy Hour is every
Wed-Sat from 5:00pm-7:00pm
featuring non-alcoholic drinks and smoothies, and 10% discount on
appetizers. Enjoy live music every Friday and Saturday starting at
7:00pm. Shugs is also available for special events, including meetings,
church functions, birthday celebrations, rehearsal dinners, and baby
& wedding showers.
